Our farm produces a wide variety of high quality vegetables, fruits & herbs that are free from chemical pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. We use a mix of pelletized chicken compost, local composted cow manure, worm castings & amendments to fertilize the soil. We use low till methods, crop rotation and are in the process of creating permanent beds in our gardens. For the most part cultivation is done by hand, but we get a little help from our '47 Farmall Cub tractor & small walk behind tiller. We harvest our produce by hand with loving care so you can be sure that what you bring home will be as fresh as possible and will not only nourish you and your family, but the environment as well.
We offer full and half vegetable shares, a flower share and a coffee share. Follow the link to find all of the details.
For fresh vegetables, bouquets, vinegar, sourdough bread, thimbleberry jam & more, visit us weekly at the Calumet Farmers Market every Saturday beginning June 17th and going though early October from 10 am - 2 pm, and the Hancock Farmers Market every Thursday beginning June 15th and going into October from 3 pm - 6 pm. This Season we will also be attending the Houghton Farmers Market. The market starts June 13th, but we will be attending in July and offer mainly bouquets.
From June through October we offer guided farm tours to groups and individuals. Come out to the farm and learn about how we grow, what fruit and vegetables we produce, where we sell too and many other aspects of our business and farm. Check this page out to see what classes and events we are offering and to sign up for a tour.
